Defense Robotics for Army Battlefield

The US Army has taken steps towards creating a "Phantom Menace" army, or one that is not manned by human beings. This includes the creation of robots capable of performing tasks that human beings cannot. These systems may be combined with other troops in combat to help soldiers stay safe and out of harm's way.

The robotic system can also serve as a force multiplier on future battlefields. They can also provide new data and sensors can be positioned in new positions. They can also clear landmines in war torn areas. They still have a lot to do before they can join the Army ranks.

Currently, the Army has three major programs to test military robots. One is the Optionally Manned Fighting Vehicle or OMFV, which replaces Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle. Another option is the Tracked Robot 10 Ton, or TRX. It is built on technologies developed in the Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport program.

The two-armed robot could also be considered. This would enable the robot to fire either a non-lethal rubber bullet, or an extremely powerful "elephant killer", bullet.

The application of artificial intelligence is one the most promising. An artificial intelligence robot can learn to do a task simply by watching video streams and communicating with a human instructor. The robot may then be able to make the same task itself.

Robotics are becoming increasingly realistic. However, they can't replace human combat personnel. AI-based robots still learn tactics. Human arms, however, have seven degrees.

The Army established an artificial intelligence system to train robots. Machine learning algorithms are used for training robots to perform the exact same tasks as a human. The AI can only do this if there are enough training data. If the system doesn't have enough data, it can turn to human demonstrations.

The robots' ability and willingness to adapt to their surroundings is another important aspect of the artificial Intelligence System. The robots can respond to changing conditions by using a variety of sensors, such as heat and chemical sensors. A robot may adjust its behavior to avoid collisions by detecting a chemical contaminant, heat source, or other such situation.

To ensure robots can operate safely, the Army is using other systems in addition to artificial Intelligence. These systems will include a standard operations order, or SOA, which will give humans a set of guidelines to follow when making decisions. The SOA will help humans understand and define the information they are given. The SOA allows humans to speak in two directions when they are looking for a specific object.

The artificial intelligence system can also teach robots to learn certain tasks. The system will determine whether the robot is too close or far away from the target to prevent a collision.
