Military robots

drones for army

A military robotics machine is one that was designed to replace human soldiers. These machines are not dependent on human soldiers for food, shelter, or sleep. They do not have feelings, passions or emotions. This allows them to minimize the unprofessional behavior soldiers are known for. Additionally, they don't suffer from stress, fatigue, strain, or other symptoms that soldiers experience.

AVATAR 3

AVATAR III, a military robot, is highly customizable unmanned aircraft vehicle (UAV). The robot has a plug and go payload bay which allows users to tailor the robot to meet their individual needs. The robot can be customized to detect, target and eliminate moving force. AVATAR III can also be used to target and eliminate moving forces. It also features dual IR and LED lights and a rugged drop-resistant chassis.

The AVATAR III is capable of many things and can be used far beyond the battlefield. It can help law enforcement and first responders better assess and respond to dangerous situations. It's extremely rugged and can be customized. It has two-way audio and can operate on multiple wireless channels simultaneously. The robot is also capable of navigating a variety of different terrain types and environments, making it an excellent choice for combat or law enforcement missions.

REDOWL

iRobot's military robot, REDOWL has been developed. It is based in neural-network technology, which mimics nerve cell behavior. However, unlike other robots it does not have a programming language. It must learn by trial-and-error. It can recognize gunshots as well as guess the sound's direction. The animal is then given the difference between its guess and the location of the sound, and it runs another trial. This is how it learns and eventually develops a neural connection to the sound source.

The REDOWL army robot features an array acoustic/optics systems that determine the source gunfire. It's also attached to a Packbot, which is a miniature tank robot. Modified Xbox controllers control the robot. It is capable in entering dangerous buildings, and can spot gunfire with in milliseconds. It comes with two wide-angle cameras, as well as a thermal image camera that can pinpoint targets. This makes it ideal to use for surveillance, perimeter protection, hostage/barcade situations, surveillance and daytime urban surveillance.

MUTT

The MUTT is a military robot that can help ground forces with combat operations or remote operations. The advanced technology of the MUTT makes it an ideal tool to ease the burden of ground troops. It can also be remotely controlled and operated by telecommand and can enhance combat power projection and stand-off from enemies. Its flexibility allows it to be modified to accept new payloads, controllers or increase levels of autonomy.

The MUTT military robot was developed by GDLS and is based on the Small Multipurpose Equipment Transport (SMMET) program. This program is designed push the boundaries of autonomous operations, and shift the paradigm for manned-unmanned warfare. It will be available for IBCT deployment by 2022. It can carry out direct and indirect fire, autonomous replenishment, and EW missions. It is capable of counter-drone missions.

BigDog

Boston Dynamics is currently developing a military robot named the BigDog. The robot can travel long distances and carry supplies and soldiers. BigDog is able to cross terrains and traverse minefields. This makes it a great way to reinforce a unit without putting them at risk. The sturdy, reliable design of the unit allows it to support a wide range items.

Boston Dynamics, the company that created the BigDog, worked with DARPA in order to improve the military robotics. The BigDog robot is designed to traverse multiple terrains and carry supplies to soldiers. AlphaDog, another DARPA-sponsored military bot, is seven-ton and was created to lead combat formations.
