OBRUM Systems' advanced tank, the PL-01 was developed in collaboration with BAE Systems. The PL-01 was revealed for the first time in 2013. It is a modified version of the Swedish CV90120T medium tank. It has a primary weapons consisting of a either 105mm, or 120mm cannon in an unmanned turret.
Adaptiv Technology
According to Polish tanks pl 01, they are capable of "cloaking" their own radar and heat signatures to trick enemy sensors. This concept is similar to that used by Boeing's Bird Of Prey program. The vehicle's entire body is covered with radio-absorbing materials, and equipped with an exhaust cooling unit. Both are designed to make it more difficult to detect.
Invisible Armor
This tank is said have armor that can absorb incoming radiation and make it invisible to enemy radars. It's also claimed to be capable to regulate temperature and fool thermal sensor.

Modern tanks have adaptediv technology as a major feature. This is because it conceals vehicles better than traditional radar reflective coatings. The Adaptiv tech uses hexagonal Peltier plats on the vehicle's surfaces that can absorb and reflect light. It makes it almost inaudible at night, or in bad conditions.
It is believed that it can fool infrared and visual sensors. The Adaptiv Technology is believed to have the ability to reduce the radar signatures and heat signatures in the PL-01. However it is not known how this will work, or what it will do for the vehicle.
Polish Army
The Polish army currently has approximately 900 main combat tanks. The most commonly used are the PT-91 Twardys or Leopard 2s. The PL-01 is a unique modern tank and will be a vital vehicle for future Polish military.
This tank can support three crew members as a direct fire support vehicle and is intended to work in tight spaces such as urban combat zones. It can be equipped both with a smoothbore 120mm or 105mm cannon, which is designed to fire both conventional rounds as well anti-tank guided rockets. It can store 29 rounds in its autoloader, and 16 more rounds in the turret.

Other armament includes 7.62mm machine gun, a remotely-controlled weapon station and a 40mm automatic grenade launcher.
The PL-01 is a modern, prototype direct-fire support tank that is being developed by Obrum with technical support from British conglomerate BAE Systems. It measures 7 meters in length, 3.8 metres wide, and 2.8 meters tall. Its weight standard is 30 tons. With additional armor panels, this vehicle can carry 35 tons.
Interior
The interior of the PL-01 is designed to be comfortable and convenient for the crew. It contains a "crewmembers’ safety capsule" that is built into the chassis. Multilayer ceramic-aramid armor protects the crew. Modern crew seats reduce the damage from IED blasts. The hull has been protected from STANAG4569 Level 4a and 4, and also has an Anti-Mine coating for all sides.
