Space Wars & Post-Conflict Reactions

military technology journal

There are many options for military action if we're talking about space wars. These options include different strategies, doctrines, and theories. Next, we can talk about post-conflict actions. Space military action is complex and could even be more complicated than we imagine. This article explores some possibilities.

Theories

Space wars are an option in the future. It is therefore important to study space power theories in order understand the political underpinnings and implications of space warfare. Such theories can also help to promote command judgment and strategic thinking. They must be considered separately from air power theories. These theories serve to inform the public of the implications of space-based operation.

Space warfare theories must be based on an understanding of space and its forces. They must also decide the best tactics to use in space combat. This includes the denial of space capabilities of the enemy, blocking of enemy launch sites, and intercepting ballistic missiles. The theory must also be able to adapt to changing technologies and new adversaries in space.

Doctrine

In the 1980s, the debate over military space power was clouded by Soviet doctrine. The Soviets had their own doctrine for fighting in outer space. The United States wanted a defense against the Soviet Union's nuclear attack. The United States responded by developing offensive space weapons in order to counter this threat. The Congress was then enraged by the issue of space control.

The U.S. Space Force has released a new guiding document, "Spacepower." The doctrine, which is based in Joint Publication 3-14 provides a framework for the military's vision regarding its space operations. The doctrine was published just weeks after the Pentagon's Defense Space Strategy. The doctrine details the Space Force's key role in space operations. It also describes its mission as "defending and protecting the space domain".

Strategies

Space wars are more complex than any conflict on Earth. They require sophisticated technology systems. Space weapons pose a risk and could lead to a collapse in U.S. policy. It would be catastrophic for both the United States of America and the rest of the world if we lost a space war. Military leaders have developed space warfare military strategies to prevent such a catastrophic outcome.

There are many space warfighting theories. These concepts encompass all aspects of the nation's operations in a given medium. Space warfare is an extension and variation of this strategy. It can use military, technological, airpower theories.

Reactions after conflict

Space weapons have been developed by the United States and China in recent years. Although they are not kinetic, they can still cause injury. Russia has co-orbital weapons, and China has direct-ascent weapons that are launched into orbit and maneuvered toward their target. Non-kinetic space weapons are also available, including jamming devices and lasers that can disrupt satellite communications. Clearly, these are not ideal weapons for combat, but they are a viable alternative for both sides.

However, in the future, space forces must be protected against adversaries, which are advancing their space weaponry capabilities. China's counterspace arsenal is far more dangerous than Russia’s fleet of satellites. Commercial space must also be protected. Otherwise, future wars are likely to be fought blindly.
