Military Laser Applications

To conduct security testing, a variety of companies and organizations use a laser weapon system that is military grade. They include the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. It regularly conducts mock raids. Some tests are table-top while others require actual firearm fire. Some tests are meant to help participants get to grips with the basics of the business. These include conducting "forceon-force" attacks on key facility buildings, testing and assessing the security of various equipments and systems, as well as testing and evaluating the resilience of security personnel.

Various companies use various technologies to monitor and manage their supply chains. A military grade laser weapon system might be the next logical move. The University of Middle England recently conducted a test with a tuned-down military grade laser cannon. It is unclear what they are trying for, but it is an interesting experiment.

The most intriguing part of this exercise is the fact that a handful of companies have used the same military-grade laser weapon system to perform the tests. Although the laser could rip a hole through a Ford F-150, it is not the most exciting. The laser can produce rapidly expanding gases and generate enough energy to explode at the point-of-impact. The weapon is used regularly by companies, while others only recently discovered its capabilities. The best part about the test is that they are open to all.

A private tour of the plant is included in the package. This experience is unique in that it's the first of its kind. They may even be repeated elsewhere. NRC is using drones to inspect security gear.
